Students of B. Sc. Medical Lab Technology, School of Medical and Allied Sciences, GD Goenkauniversity took up a socially beneficial initiative by organizing an Awareness Camp on the eve of ‘World Mosquito Day’ on 27th August, 2019 at village Ghamroj, Sohna.
The campaign was carried out with a fundamental objective of informing people about vector borne diseases, specifically Dengue and Malaria, alongside, also enumerating their respective symptoms, prevention and control for a better understanding. Students created the ambience of knowledge within the rural vicinity through informative speeches, innovative nukkadnatak and posters, which rendered learning lucidly and loudly to the native villagers.
Such an ‘outside-the-classroom’ exposure lended a productively holistic growth to the students, also instilling them with a clear , concrete and concerned perception about the various socio-cultural vicissitudes of an ever-changing society.
