Neha Chandel has worked to understand and characterize the wide arsenal of chromosomal and plasmid borne resistance determinants in Enterobacteriaceae, with special emphasis on E. coli causing Urinary Tract infections and prevalent Indian scenario. Neha Chandel’s current research interests lies in understanding the mechanism of antibiotic resistance among nosocomial pathogens, using bioinformatics approach to understand genomic diversity among bacteria, isolation and characterization of enzymes and enzyme engineering.
