Introduction: Rohit Dutt is a Medicinal Chemist with a promising expertise in Computer Aided Drug Design. He has taught Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis related-subjects for nearly 16 years at Institute and University level. His prowess and intellectual readiness is simply recognized by the fact that some of the mathematical tools developed by him for drug design, have been incorporated in leading software being marketed by various multinational companies.
Prior to taking up the current role, Rohit Dutt served in academic position as a Professor and Head, Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamunangar, Haryana. Before joining Academics, he augmented his skillful expertness in Industrial discourse while working in Stability and Validation Cell, Ranbaxy Lab Limited, Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.
His ‘know-how’ disposition and mastery in Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD) field enabled him to conduct rich research in areas of diverse nature. He has more than 60 research/review publications - most of them in international journals of repute to his credit.
He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from M. D. University, Rohtak; M. Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical chemistry from G. J. University, Hisar; and B. Pharmacy from Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology and Sciences, Dehradun. He is also a recipient of Post-Graduate Diploma in Cheminformatics and Professional Diploma in Clinical Research from Bioinformatics Institute of India and Catalyst Clinical Services Limited, Delhi respectively.
As a member of the University’s senior management team, Rohit Dutt has developed a comprehensive strategy for improving and refining the student-learning experience through clinical engagements with leading Healthcare organizations. Rohit Dutt staunchly believes in promoting a strong and positive environment of scholarly learning for both students and faculty, to iron out all the challenges associated to 4th Industrial Revolution, and outshine in the glory of knowledge and wisdom.
