It’s the only place you have to live.” To accentuate and enliven that statement in everyone’s minds, School of Medical and Allied Sciences, GD Goenka University, Gurugram organized a Webinar on 29th April,2020, themed on ‘Fitness Tips during Lockdown Period’. The live Webinar series is an initiative by GD Goenka University to augment learning and well-being in current adversaries through their ‘GD Goenka Uplearn Academy’. The speaker for the Webinar was a renowned and highly specialised fitness trainer cum physiotherapist Dr. Aijaz Ashai, HOD, Adams Wylie Physio Rehab Centre, Mumbai. Over 112 viewers joined in to grasp more fitness tips.
Dr Aijaz focussed on some pivotal points, like, Importance of Physiotherapy in sports (circuit training and endurance training), some steady ways to remain fit during the ongoing lockdown period and he also emphasized on the Mental well-being because to keep one’s mind healthy is a great responsibility, and it must be taken courageously and unwaveringly. Dr Aijaz gave some sound suggestions on stretching and while interacting with our students, he advised them to a take a break between their consecutive online classes, to provide relaxation to both mind and body.
The Webinar culminated with more Fitness-related queries and challenges faced while acing both ‘work from home’ and ‘study from home’ modes of life. What exerts importance is that every individual must put up their best shoes to keep their feet and lives running, despite the saddening cataclysm.
