About Centre of Excellence Occupational Health, Safety, Fire & Environment (C-OHSFE)

The Centre for Excellence in Occupational Health, Safety, Fire & Environment (C-OHSFE) is a professional center at GD Goenka University that promotes the study of occupational Health & Safety and risk engineering. The Centre for Excellence in Occupational Health, Safety, Fire & Environment (C-OHSFE) is created by GD Goenka University to provide quality, practical oriented education in the field of occupational health & Safety, Environment, process safety, risk management & disaster management.

Being centrally located C-OHSFE of GD Goenka University will provide courses at all level viz. diploma, bachelor's degree, master’s degree as well as Doctoral degree. C-OHSFE also intends to involve in innovative research related to this domain. C-OHSFE is capable of developing tailor made course as per industry requirement. These courses can be conducted at university campus or at industrial locations. C- OHSFE is ready to take consultancy assignments with its own team or even in collaboration of its well - known industrial experts.

About HSFEAS – 2023

The international conference on Advances in Health, Safety, Fire, Environment, Allied Sciences and Sustainability (HSFEAS – 2023) aims to bring together leading academicians, scientists and technocrats, research scholars, students, and industry experts to exchange and share their experiences and research results in all aspects of new trends and modern approaches in Health, Safety, Fire, Environment, Allied Sciences and Sustainability areas with a common interest in improving recent innovations.

It also provides an interdisciplinary platform for top managers, researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the diversified field of science and engineering.

This time the two days conference is proposed under Centre of Excellence: Occupational, Health, Safety, Fire & Environment, GD Goenka University, NCR, Gurgaon, India in collaboration with two foreign universities to co-organize this conference. Tentative days for the conference are 29th & 30th November 2023.

About C-Rise

The Memorial University’s Board of Regent approved establishment of the Centre for Risk, Integrity, and Safety Engineering (C-RISE) on February 2016. The centre is founded on achievements of the Safety and Risk Engineering Group (SREG) founded by Dr. Faisal Khan in 2002. Since its establishment, the centre has been supported by funding from Canada Foundation of Innovation (CFI), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada ( N S E R C ) , Research and Development Corporation (RDC) of Newfoundland and Labrador, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and a list of industrial partners including Vale, Lloyd’s Register, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), and Husky Energy.
