B.Tech Aerospace Engineering Program
Duration4 Years
GD Goenka Aerospace Department as part of School of Engineering, with its BTech Aerospace Engineering program tries provide students with flexible opportunities through a holistic program to prepare them for their future careers.
Students will learn the fundamentals of engineering principles in their first 2 years to prepare them their background, while also taking some fundamental courses of Aerospace Engineering from the 1st semester onwards.
From their 3rd year onwards, students will be channeled into one of the four streams (specialisations) through elective courses to help them become specialists. Hence, students will be allowed to choose elective courses as per their interest in the one of the three specialisations areas. The student wont have to choose their area of specialisation until their 3rd year. Students will be mentored by the department to choose the right specialization that fits their interests and expectations for the future. Student may also take noncredit courses from other areas to help diversify their background.

BTech Aerospace Engineering Program Specialisations
- Specialisation in Aeronautics
- Specialisation in Astronautics
- Specialisation in Avionics
- Specialisation in Defence Technologies
BTech Aerospace Engineering Program Internships
There is a mandatory internship after their 3rd year and students are counselled and channeled toward various internship programs in India as well as abroad. We have tied up with many organisations to provide students with 2 internships. International Aerospace Internships may include research labs, universities as well as startups and aerospace companies abroad.
BTech Aerospace Engineering Program Study Abroad and Student Exchange
It is mandatory for BTech Aerospace Engineering program students to go for a semester exchange program abroad either in their 7th or 8th semester. These semester exchange programs take place in our partner universities in USA, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Italy, Turkey and many others.
BTech Aerospace Engineering Program Industrial Connect
The course is taught with several industry partners to help prepare the students toward the industry so that they are employable from their first day at work. Industrial visits, courses and workshops by industry experts are conducted to help prepare the students for their future careers. Some of the industrial organisations that we are in connect with include Dassault Systemes, Indigo Airlines, Expanse Cosmos Ltd, along with many others including various government agencies for experiential learning. Several industrial workshops are also provided by our international partners.
BTech Aerospace Engineering Program Student Activities and Competitions
The students in the Aerospace Engineering program are also expected to take place in extracurricular activities and enroll in one of the clubs supervised by the department. Moreover, Btech Aerospace Engineering Students are strongly encouraged to participate in national and international aerospace competitions.
