Message from Dean

Welcome to GD Goenka University, and congratulations on your decision to join our School of Engineering and Sciences.

You are now part of a community which believes that rigorous theory and practical innovation go hand in hand.

The next 3-4 years will challenge you. You will solve complex problems, spend long hours in the laboratories and in the library. You may suddenly get bright ideas but may realise that they don't work the first time. That is precisely the point. Engineering and sciences are disciplines built on iteration and curiosity. One needs to have the courage to continue finding a workable solution. I encourage you to embrace that process fully.

At our university, you will have access to outstanding faculty, computing facilities and laboratories, and an ecosystem that is designed to connect classroom learning with real-world impact. Please make the most of it. Ask questions relentlessly in your class. Collaborate with your peers and faculty generously. We have an excellent Mentor-Mentee system. Please seek help from your mentor if you want to try out things differently.

You are joining GD Goenka University at a time when engineering and sciences are shaping the future of our world. I have every confidence that many of you will be part of that shaping.
