School of Engineering and Sciences celebrated Engineers’ Day on 15th September 2025 with great enthusiasm to honour the legacy of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The event brought together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests for an engaging and inspiring program.

Mr. Yashvir Singh Chahal, Lead Liaison Officer, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Mr. Ankit Sharma, Subject Matter Expert, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) shared valuable insights on evolving industry demands, emerging opportunities, and the significance of innovation and adaptability in engineering careers. Their talks offered students a pragmatic understanding of how academic learning translates into real-world engineering applications.

The gathering was addressed by Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Shenoy, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, GD Goenka University and Prof. (Dr.) Thammi Reddy Konala, Dean, School of Engineering and Sciences. They spoke about the vital role and responsibilities of engineers in nation-building, reflecting on the exemplary life and contributions of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Their words inspired students to uphold values of discipline, dedication, and innovation in their professional journeys.

Adding to the vibrancy of the occasion, a Student Project Exhibition and a Poster Competition were organized, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines. The exhibits showcased innovative ideas and creative solutions to real-world challenges, earning appreciation from faculty members and judges for their originality and relevance.

Prof. (Dr.) Sudipta K. Mishra and Dr. Prerna Sharma organized the event. The celebration not only paid tribute to one of India’s greatest engineers but also motivated aspiring engineers to strive for excellence, creativity, and societal contribution through technology.
