On 7 November 2025, the Department of Civil Engineering organized an industrial visit for civil engineering students to a Larsen & Toubro Construction Project Site in Gurugram called IKEA - a Global Swedish Company. The visit provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to real-world construction practices and on-site operations. Participants gained practical insights into construction techniques, safety management protocols, project planning, and the use of modern engineering tools and methodologies.

The visit was led by Dr. Sudipta K. Mishra, Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, with the objective of familiarizing students with the application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and advanced technological innovations employed in large-scale infrastructure projects, thereby effectively bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practices.

Such industry interactions play a vital role in shaping future-ready civil engineers by enhancing technical knowledge and professional awareness.
