The School of Engineering and Sciences organized an educational visit to the Central Research Facility (CRF) at IIT Delhi on 15th October 2025 for the postgraduate students of Microbiology and Biotechnology. During the visit, students gained insights into the working principles of advanced analytical instruments such as the FTIR Analyzer, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and UV-Vis Spectrofluorometer. They also explored sophisticated electron microscopy facilities, including the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), and Sputtering Assembly.

A live demonstration of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) system was conducted, highlighting sample preparation, handling, data acquisition, and interpretation.

This visit was organized by Dr. Bhupender Singh, Head of Central Research Facility, IIT Delhi.

The visit was coordinated by Dr. Soumita Talukdar and Dr. Priyanka Sharma to provide students with experiential learning on advanced characterization techniques and to offer exposure to cutting-edge research infrastructure.
