It is my privilege to welcome you to the School of Agricultural Sciences at GD Goenka University. Agriculture, the backbone of our nation, is rapidly transforming with the integration of science, technology, and sustainability. Our School is dedicated to preparing young minds who will lead this transformation, ensuring food security, climate resilience, and innovative agri-business solutions for the future.

To ensure holistic development, we provide our students with world-class infrastructure and hands-on learning opportunities.

The School is enriched with a state-of-the-art Hydroponics Facility, Mushroom Production Unit, Organic Farm, and Beekeeping Unit, where students gain practical exposure to modern and sustainable farming systems. Our Incubation Center for Entrepreneurship Promotion and Skill Enhancement Courses focus on empowering young minds with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to launch their own agri-startups.

We also house advanced ICAR-standard laboratories, including a Central Research Laboratory with cutting-edge instruments and specialized labs for Crop Improvement, Crop Protection, Agronomy, Social Sciences, and Horticulture, ensuring robust training for both UG and PG students. Furthermore, the Center for Application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture provides students with opportunities to explore precision farming, smart data-driven solutions, and frontier technologies that will define the future of agriculture.

School of Agricultural Sciences houses advanced laboratories designed as per ICAR norms, including a Central Research Laboratory with cutting-edge instruments, along with specialized labs for Crop Improvement, Crop Protection, Agronomy, Social Sciences, and Horticulture- offering UG and PG students a strong foundation in both research and applied sciences. In addition, we provide an unparalleled ecosystem for experiential learning. Our state-of-the-art Hydroponics Facility, Mushroom Production Unit, Organic Farm, and Beekeeping Unit expose students to practical farming systems and modern agribusiness opportunities. To nurture innovation and self-reliance, our Incubation Center for Entrepreneurship Promotion encourages students to translate ideas into successful ventures. Adding to this, our Center for Application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture provides cutting-edge opportunities to explore precision farming, smart data-driven agriculture, and emerging technologies that define the future of the sector.

With 43 years of experience in agricultural education and research, over 200 scientific publications, leadership in successful crop variety development, and recognition with 12 awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award, I have witnessed the power of knowledge, technology, and youth in transforming agriculture.
