Mr. Pawan Kumar Ahirwar

Pawan Kumar Ahirwar is an Industrial and Product Designer focused on new product design and development. His practice integrates user research, industrial design, engineering, ergonomics, mechanism design, DFMA, prototyping, and validation to create functional, user-centred, and manufacturable products.

His experience spans health-tech, biomedical, wearable, electro-mechanical, consumer electronics, and packaging applications. He has worked across the product development process, from understanding user needs and defining design requirements to concept development, prototyping, testing, and refinement. His approach combines creative design thinking with technical feasibility, manufacturing constraints, and real-world product requirements.

His selected work includes an assistive interactive exercise system for dementia patients for which a patent has been published, a limb volume measurement device for ICU applications, and a sustainable electric toothbrush. His design approach places emphasis on usability, ergonomics, sustainability, cost, and production feasibility.

As an Assistant Professor at UID, GD Goenka University, he mentors students in problem framing, research, ideation, prototyping, product development, and design execution. He also contributes to academic innovation and design education through industry-oriented projects, design critiques, juries, and masterclasses.
