The 8th International Conference on Sustainable Knowledge Economy: Trends, Innovations & Best Practices (ICON 2026) was successfully organized by the School of Management at GD Goenka University from 25–27 February 2026. Over three enriching days, the conference brought together leading academicians, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to deliberate on sustainability, innovation, ESG integration, circular economy practices, and the evolving role of higher education in shaping a resilient knowledge economy.

We were honored to host eminent dignitaries including Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, Director, Indian Institute of Management Rohtak; Mr. Jitender Grover, Chief Finance Officer at Capgemini and Mr. Amit Sinha, Chief Operating Officer at Richemont India; Dr. Somnath Singh from the UN Global Compact Network India and Dr. Shad Ahmad Khan from the American University of Phnom Penh .

A highlight of the conference was the panel discussion on “Shared Responsibility: The Circular Economy Perspective,” featuring distinguished experts such as Mr. Rahul Ghai, General Manager – Talent Acquisition, CBRE Asia Pacific, Ms. Nidhi Sahani, Associate Partner at IBM, Dr. Anuja Pandey, Head, AIMA India Case Research Centre, Mr. Harjeet Singh, Partner at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, Dr. Nimish Joseph, Professor of Practice St. Stephen's College and Ms. Sana Baqai KYSB Associates & President, IIA Delhi . With 67 research papers presented through a rigorous peer-review process, ICON 2026 fostered meaningful academic–industry dialogue and celebrated outstanding research contributions through Best Paper Awards.
