AI & You: What Every Student Must Know

The School of Law, GD Goenka University successfully organized a three-day online certificate programme titled “AI & You: What Every Student Must Know” under the aegis of the newly established AI Policy Lab. The programme was organized by Tushar Sharma and Swargodeep Sarkar with the objective of introducing students to the fundamentals, applications, and ethical dimensions of Artificial Intelligence.

The sessions covered the basics of AI, the functioning of tools such as ChatGPT, and contemporary issues related to AI ethics, misinformation, privacy, and responsible use of technology. Students actively participated in engaging activities such as “Spot the AI” and live debates, making the sessions interactive and insightful.

The programme also explored AI risks and its real-world impact on society, education, employment, and law. Through discussions and practical examples, students gained a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with emerging AI technologies.

The certificate course proved to be informative and academically enriching, reflecting the School of Law’s commitment to interdisciplinary, technology-driven, and future-oriented learning initiatives.
