Held in observance of World Physiotherapy Day 2026, this workshop was organized by the School of Healthcare & Allied Sciences, GD Goenka University, at the B Block Auditorium from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. It was led by Dr. Attish Garg, Consultant & Head of Emergency Medicine at Fortis Hospital, Manesar, and a certified ACLS/BLS Instructor. The session equipped students and healthcare professionals with critical, hands-on skills for managing medical emergencies, covering recognition of life-threatening situations, Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR techniques, an introduction to Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and core principles of emergency resuscitation. Attendees gained valuable practical insights directly from an experienced emergency physician, strengthening their preparedness to respond to real-life medical crises. The workshop directly supports SDG 3 by improving emergency response capacity and survival outcomes, SDG 4 by offering hands-on technical training beyond the regular curriculum, and SDG 17 by fostering collaboration between academia and industry to share specialized medical expertise with students and healthcare professionals.
