The Educational Visit of B.Tech. Civil Engineering students to the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Govind Puram, Ghaziabad provided students with valuable practical exposure to wastewater treatment and environmental engineering practices. The visit enabled students to understand the various stages involved in the collection, treatment, and safe disposal or reuse of sewage. Students observed key treatment processes such as screening, sedimentation, biological treatment, filtration, and disinfection, along with the functioning of different units and equipment used in a sewage treatment plant. The visit helped students connect theoretical concepts related to water and wastewater engineering, environmental pollution control, and sustainable infrastructure with their practical implementation. Interaction with technical personnel provided insights into plant operation, monitoring, maintenance, safety measures, and compliance with environmental standards.
