As part of Mental Health Week 2026, the School of Liberal Arts, GD Goenka University, will host an expert session on “Toxic Positivity and Mental Health” on 14 October 2026. The session will feature Dr. Roma Kumar, Co-Chairperson (Psychology), Institute for Psychiatry and Behaviour Sciences, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

The session will explore how the pressure to remain positive at all times can sometimes overlook genuine emotions and personal challenges. Through expert insights and an open conversation, the session will encourage participants to understand the importance of acknowledging difficult emotions and approaching mental health with greater empathy and awareness.
