FTAs, Conflicts and Capital Flows: Key Challenges and Opportunities for India," featured
The Finance Club, School of Management, GD Goenka University, hosted an insightful roundtable discussion titled “FTAs, Conflicts and Capital Flows: Key Challenges and Opportunities for India” at the UID Auditorium.
The session brought together an exceptional panel featuring Dhruv Matta, Partner, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys; Karan Chopra, Partner, BDO India; Gaurav Sharma, Partner, TAG Advisors; and Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Joint Director, NITI Aayog, Government of India. Led by the student leaders of the Finance Club, the discussion explored the changing global landscape and its impact on India.
From the India–EU FTA and shifting energy flows to the impact of global conflicts on inflation, capital markets and economic growth, the conversation offered students valuable insight into the forces shaping India’s future. The panel also highlighted India’s growing focus on energy self-sufficiency, renewable energy, capital market resilience and strategic global partnerships.
The session concluded with an engaging interaction where students received practical advice on navigating uncertainty, building resilient careers and thinking beyond headlines to understand the larger economic picture.
