A Workshop by Anjum Bhardwaj

The Department of Fashion Design & Styling at UID NCR organized a two-day Hair and Makeup Workshop for Semester IV and VI students, conducted by renowned makeup artist and educator Anjum Bhardwaj. The workshop introduced students to the fundamentals of professional makeup artistry and its relationship with fashion styling, visual aesthetics, and presentation.

Students learned about skin analysis, product selection, occasion-based makeup, and techniques such as soft glam and full glam looks. Through live demonstrations and interactive sessions, they observed real-time makeup transformations customised to different face shapes, themes, and styling concepts.

The workshop also encouraged interdisciplinary learning, where students combined makeup with hairstyling, draping, accessorising, and garment styling to create complete visual narratives. Hands-on group activities allowed them to conceptualise and execute themed looks while developing teamwork, creative thinking, and styling coordination skills.

Overall, the workshop provided valuable industry exposure and helped students understand the connection between beauty, fashion, and visual storytelling through practical and collaborative learning experiences.
