Inaugural Workshop On, “AI Tools For Legal Research And Practise”
The School of Law, GD Goenka University successfully organized the inaugural workshop of the newly established AI Policy Lab on the topic “AI Tools for Legal Research and Practice” on 20 April 2026 at the GRG Moot Court Hall.
The workshop was conducted by Udit Mathur, Senior Vice President at Lawxy AI, who shared practical insights into the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in legal research, drafting, and professional legal workflows. The session aimed to familiarize students with emerging AI-driven tools and their applications in the legal field.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the use of AI in streamlining legal research, document analysis, case summarization, and improving efficiency in legal practice. The speaker also highlighted the ethical and professional considerations associated with the use of AI technologies in the legal profession.
The workshop witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, encouraging discussions on the intersection of law, technology, and policy. The programme marked an important beginning for the AI Policy Lab’s initiatives aimed at promoting interdisciplinary engagement and awareness regarding technological developments in the legal domain.
