We are pleased to inform you that the NSS Unit of GD Goenka University successfully organized an Awareness Campaign under “Jal Mahotsav: Gaon Ka Utsav – Desh Ka Mahotsav 2026” on 16 March 2026 as part of the national campaign conducted by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, under the flagship programme Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

The campaign aimed to spread awareness among local villagers about water conservation, safe drinking water, sanitation, and the importance of community participation in sustainable water management.

During the programme, several impactful activities were conducted, including:

• Awareness Rally by NSS Volunteers
• Villagers’ Interaction on water hygiene and conservation
• Nukkad Natak (Street Play) highlighting the importance of “Har Ghar Jal”
• Data Collection related to water sources, water safety, and sanitation under the Sujalam Bharat initiative

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 50 + NSS volunteers and members of the local community, creating a strong message on responsible water use and conservation.
