The NSS Unit, GD Goenka University successfully organized a Poshan Pakhwada – Nutrition and Basic Health Awareness Camp at a government school in Dohla Village. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Rotaract Club and the Department of Nursing, GD Goenka University.

The program aimed to promote awareness about nutrition, hygiene, and basic health practices among school students. A key highlight of the camp was an engaging lecture session on basic hygiene and personal health, delivered by student volunteers and faculty members, who emphasized the importance of cleanliness, balanced diet, and disease prevention.

To enhance outreach and understanding, volunteers distributed informative posters focusing on nutrition, hygiene, and healthy living practices. The event also featured an impactful nukkad natak (street play) performed by NSS volunteers, creatively spreading awareness about the significance of nutritious food and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

A special sanitary pad distribution drive was organized for female students, led by Rotaract Club volunteers, aiming to promote menstrual hygiene awareness and ensure access to essential health products.

The entire event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Kunal Adhikary and Dr. Rahul Dhankar, whose leadership and support played a crucial role in the successful execution of the program.

The initiative reflected the university’s commitment to community service, health awareness, and social responsibility, leaving a positive impact on the young students of the village.
