The NSS Unit of GD Goenka University organized a meaningful visit to The Second Innings Home on 30th March 2026, aimed at promoting social responsibility, empathy, and community engagement among students. A total of 55 students actively participated, engaging in heartfelt interactions with elderly residents, sharing stories, and creating a warm, emotionally enriching environment. The visit included an awareness session on health, hygiene, and emotional wellbeing, along with a physiotherapy session conducted by BPT students under expert supervision, focusing on improving mobility and physical health of the residents. Additionally, the NSS unit organized a donation drive, distributing essential items, hygiene products, and medical kits to support the daily needs of the elderly. The initiative provided students with valuable insights into the lives of senior citizens, instilling compassion, respect, and a sense of responsibility, while leaving a lasting positive impact on both the students and the residents.
