VARTAH 2.0
The School of Liberal Arts, GD Goenka University, in collaboration with FORTIS Healthcare, organised the National School Counsellor’s Summit – VARTAH 2.0 (Values Awareness Reform Thrive Action Hope) on 19–20 January 2024. The theme of the summit was “Exams, Performance & Skills,” with around 150 participants from across the country.
The summit commenced with an inaugural session addressed by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Kim Manzes, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting and felicitation of Dr. Sameer Parikh. Prof. (Dr.) Anjali Midha Sharma, Dean, School of Liberal Arts, highlighted the University’s academic programmes, mental health initiatives, and community outreach. Dr. Sameer Parikh delivered a keynote on “Examination: A Skill for Life,” focusing on empathy, mental health, and managing examination stress. Sessions also explored AI and digital approaches to counselling, art-based therapy, performance and skill acquisition. The event concluded with a gala dinner featuring a captivating qawwali performance by the Niyazi Brothers.
