The Department of Nursing, GD Goenka University marked World Breastfeeding Week with an engaging celebration focused on awareness, creativity and meaningful dialogue around maternal and child health. Through poster-making and reel competitions, nursing students creatively presented evidence-based perspectives on breastfeeding and its role in supporting healthy growth, development and well-being.

Under the theme “Support Breastfeeding, Build a Better World,” the celebration highlighted the shared responsibility of healthcare professionals, families and communities in fostering supportive environments for breastfeeding. The initiative also reflected the evolving role of nurses as educators, advocates and champions of healthier families and communities.
