Students of the Global Design programme, participated as volunteers at the prestigious event celebrating 60 years of the world craft council: titled ‘World Craft Forum 2024’ held in New Delhi. They were involved in setting up of stalls, guided tours and working with the international delegates and award winning artisans at the World Craft Forum.

There was a session on “Craft and the Creative Economy” at the World Craft Forum 2024, moderated by Director UID, Prof. Amrit Madan. The session had seven panelists representing India, US (North America), France, Kuwait, Ireland and UK. There were people working from grassroots to policy, from practice to creating craft ecologies, from cooperatives to startups. Topics revolving around entrepreneurship, authenticity, technology, micro-business, acceptance and more.
