Agriculture education at GD Goenka University is moving ahead for modernization with AI.

Jyoti Ahlawat’s expertise is in the area of plant tissue culture and molecular biology. She has taught these subjects for nearly 5 years at universities such as Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana and GD Goenka University.

Prior to taking up the current role in 2019, Jyoti Ahlawat served in research positions at Tissue Culture and Cryopreservation Unit, and Division of Genomic Resources, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi, in the field of tissue culture and cryopreservation and DNA-based genetically modified events detection respectively. Jyothi expertise is in DNA extraction, PCR amplification, real-time PCR, gel electrophoresis, quantification, data analysis, DNA-based GM detection of genetically modified crops (Bt Cotton, BtBrinjal, Maize, Soya) and SSR marker screening analysis in little millets.

Jyoti holds a PhD from Maharshi Dayanand University, Haryana in collaboration with TCCU, ICAR-NBPGR, Delhi MSc (Botany) from the Maharshi Dayanand University (Haryana) and BSc (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry), from Maharshi Dayanand University.
