Dr. Vikas Jhawat is a distinguished pharmaceutical scientist and academician with over 11+ years of experience in Industry, teaching, research, and quality assurance. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics and Assistant Director, IQAC at GD Goenka University, Gurugram, India, he has made significant contributions to the field of drug delivery systems and pharmaceutical sciences.
Dr. Jhawat's core research interests include nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems, transdermal and topical formulations, pharmacogenomics, parenteral delivery, and therapeutic strategies for chronic diseases like cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. He has published more than 65 research articles and book chapters in reputed national and international journals, including widely cited works on transdermal drug delivery systems and vesicular drug delivery. His impactful research has earned him several accolades, including the Young Scientist Award at the 3rd North Zone Conference sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology under the Indian Pharmacological Society (2023), the Star Performer of the Year Award in teaching and research (2022), and the Publication Incentive Award at GD Goenka University (2022, 2023, 2024). Additionally, he is a lifetime member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India and a registered pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council.
Dr. Jhawat is committed to continuous professional development and has completed multiple certification programs, including training in Pharmacovigilance, and postgraduate diplomas in Pharma Regulatory Affairs and Product Management. His teaching and mentoring efforts have guided several postgraduate and doctoral students, fostering innovation and academic excellence. His work bridges industry practices and academic research, aiming to improve therapeutic outcomes through advanced pharmaceutical technologies. As he continues to explore innovative approaches in drug delivery and personalized medicine, Dr. Jhawat remains a driving force in shaping the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals.
