Manka Sharma is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Data Science. With 18 years of academic experience, she has delivered courses aligned with both Indian and UK education standards.
Before taking her current role in 2018, she served as Assistant Professor and Programme Director for M.Eng programs at GD Goenka World Institute | Lancaster University.
Manka Sharma is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. She holds an M.Tech (IT) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, an M.Sc. (Computer Science) from Maharshi Dayanand University, and a B.E. (Computer) from the University of Pune.
She has made significant contributions to various technical projects, book chapters, and research publications in reputed International and National journals and conferences. She has chaired numerous technical sessions at international conferences, received best presentation awards, and served as a reviewer for scholarly works.
In addition, she has conducted multiple Professional Development Programs for industry professionals, as well as for academicians in the domain of Artificial Intelligence. Her current research focuses on the Deep Learning-based design and development of hybrid and optimized models for Earthquake Detection and Magnitude Estimation using realworld earthquake waveform datasets.
