Dr. Hunny Pahuja is a distinguished academician with over 15 years of experience. He has been teaching various courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across engineering institutes and universities in India. His extensive career reflects a steadfast commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and holistic student development. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Hunny has been instrumental in establishing various laboratories, designing comprehensive courses for diverse programs, facilitating curriculum development to meet evolving educational standards, and ensuring quality assurance through his work as an ISO & NAAC coordinator and auditor, contributing to institutional development.
Beyond his administrative and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Hunny has made significant contributions to the academic community through various editorial roles in institutional publications, coordination of literary programs, and organization of regional, national, and international workshops, conferences, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). Currently He also officiates as the Head of Department (ECE-Iot & BME) at School of Engineering and Science in GD Goenka University; he has functioned as Ph.D. Program coordinator and Mentor of the School of Engineering & Sciences. These endeavours have enriched the academic environment and provided platforms for scholarly exchange and professional growth. Before assuming his current role, Dr. Hunny held academic positions at esteemed institutions such as Lovely Professional University, Phagwara; KIET Group of Colleges, Ghaziabad; and Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali, among others. Beyond teaching, he has undertaken various academic and administrative responsibilities, including serving as Head of the Department and Examination In-Charge, as well as contributing to institutional committees.
A passionate mentor, Dr. Hunny has supervised over thirty student projects, many of which have been awarded in various competitions, reflecting his commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of research and innovation. His research expertise lies in Signal Processing, with a particular focus on speech and image signal processing. Additionally, he is an active member of the Signal Processing Community. His scholarly work is recognized, with over 25 research publications in SCI and Scopus-indexed international journals and conferences and contributions as a book editor. He is invited as a speaker and jury member at academic forums, highlighting his expertise and thought leadership in the field.
Dr. Hunny Pahuja's unique blend of academic expertise, research acumen, and administrative leadership enables her to foster academic excellence, promote interdisciplinary research, and encourage innovation, thereby enhancing the overall student learning experience. His unwavering dedication to education and her multifaceted contributions continue to inspire students and colleagues alike, making him a significant contributor to the academic fraternity. His contributions have earned him several prestigious recognitions, including the Young Dronacharya Award, Outstanding Contribution Award and the Best Faculty Award at various platforms. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Engineering, M. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and a B.E. (Hons.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering, supported by a strong foundation in science during his schooling.
