Dr. Priyanka Sharma currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Basic & Applied Sciences, School of Engineering & Sciences at G.D. Goenka University. She has obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, P.G. Diploma in Environmental Studies from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and Ph.D. in the area of Synthetic Organic Chemistry from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. During her Ph.D., she has worked on synthesis & antimicrobial activity study of bicyclic & tetracyclic benzothiazepine heterocycles and their QSAR studies. She received Junior Research Fellowship in UGC Major Research Project and also awarded with Senior Research Fellowship and Research Associateship by CSIR Major Research Scheme. She has published several research papers in referred national and international journals of repute and also presented research papers in many prestigious national and international conferences. She has participated in several training programs/workshops. She successfully completed DST-SERB sponsored research project and currently she is guiding students for their doctoral degree.
Education:
Ph.D from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Completed Master of Science in Chemistry and Bachelors of Science from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.
Research:
Published numerous journals in SCIE, SCI, scopus, etc. Have edited books and book chapters for various publication houses such as Springer nature, Taylor & Francis, etc. Currently working in synthesis of heterocyclic moiety & their biological applications and also in groundwater quality assessment.
Teaching:
Teaching interests majorly included courses of engineering and applied chemistry like Engineering Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Drug & Dyes, Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Product Chemistry.
Practice:
Successfully completed DST-SERB sponsored research project. Few students completed their Ph.D. degree under my guidance.
Service:
Life member of Indian Science congress Association, reviewed several papers for various journals and also served as editor for various books.
