Shreya Goswami is an Assistant Professor of Law and the Head of the IPR Cell at GD Goenka University. A Gold Medalist and NTA-NET qualified academic, her work examines the evolving relationship between intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and digital regulation, with a focus on contemporary copyright theory and technology-driven disruption.
Her research has been invited to respected international forums, including the 25th SERCI Annual Congress (Hong Kong, 2025), where she presented her work on AI, creative destruction, and copyright in the music industry. She was also a presenter at the 11th Annual IP Mosaic Conference (Boston, 2025), hosted by the Institute for Intellectual Property and Social Justice and Suffolk University Law School, where she explored philosophical foundations of copyright in the age of emerging technologies.
Alongside her academic work, she leads the university’s IPR initiatives, fostering research engagement and developing institution-wide efforts to strengthen IP awareness and scholarship. Prior to academia, she gained litigation experience in commercial and debt-recovery matters, grounding her teaching in both doctrine and practice. Her publications span peer-reviewed journals and national media, reflecting her commitment to accessible and rigorous legal scholarship.
