The BSA Publication Club's 'Mind Jiu-Jitsu' trivia event, held on 17 January 2024, was a thrilling showcase of intellect and competition. Drawing 51 participants, including 21 pairs and 9 solo contenders, the contest spanned diverse categories like movies, general knowledge, space and science, anime and fiction, jack in the box, and sports. The event began with a rigorous pen-and-paper round where participants tackled 40 questions in 15 minutes. The top 8 teams advanced to face off in head-to-head battles during the second round, where quick thinking and fast buzzing were pivotal. The third round intensified as 4 teams navigated 5 challenging questions, leading to the climactic rapid-fire finale. The event showcased vibrant intellectual community, blending entertainment with a culture of learning and healthy rivalry. The success of 'Mind Jiu-Jitsu' underscored the fusion of enjoyment and enrichment in intellectual pursuits, leaving a lasting impact on participants and spectators alike. The EXPOSITIO MUN conference curated by BSA Techno-Cultural's MUN Club on 20 January 2024, showcased adept diplomacy. The event featured the Financial Action Task Force Committee. Delegates deliberated on global issues like world finance and terrorism, leading to a crucial unmoderated caucus. The crisis management skills of the delegates were checked with a sudden crisis —the emergence of U.S. troops at Pakistan's border. The conference concluded with paper evaluations and an award ceremony, recognizing outstanding contributions and diplomatic prowess. This MUN conference epitomized rich discussions, critical thinking, and effective diplomatic solutions, proving a valuable experience for all. The awards for the day included the Best Delegate Award which went to Vivvan David, representing USA, Grade XI, Amity International School; the award for High Commendation went to Disha, representing India, BA LLB, Batch 2022-2027, School of Law and the award for Special Mention went to Rohini Lahiri, representing Canada, B. The photography club of BSA Techno-Cultural organized a Photography competition titled Abhivyakti on 24 January 2024. The event was a captivating opportunity for 40 enthusiastic students to showcase their creativity through the lens. The participants were given two thought-provoking themes - Emotions and Nature. These themes allowed the students to explore the depth of human feelings and the beauty of the natural world through their unique perspectives. The diversity of subjects within these themes showcased the versatility and imaginative skills of the young photographers. The event saw enthusiastic participation by international students who showcased their talents across various platforms including drama, singing and comedy. The literary club of BSA Techno-Cultural held a Shayari competition, 'Lafzo-ka-Karwan' on 14 February 2024. The event was a vibrant celebration of poetic expression and witnessed an outpouring of creativity and passion from participants and audience members alike. Sixteen talented individuals took centre stage, each armed with their arsenal of words and emotions. From poignant tales of love and loss to inspiring narratives of resilience and hope, the Shayaris presented were a testament to the depth of human experience and creativity. The event was judged by Dr. Teena Parmar, Dr. Savita Yadav, and Dr. Ankur Sharma, Assistant Professor, School of Law on criterions of content, emotional impact, and overall performance. The climax of the competition arrived with the announcement of the winners. After careful consideration and fair evaluation, Ashish Nautiyal, LLB, Batch 2023-2026, School of Law, emerged winner, followed by Mir Areiba, B.Sc forensic Sciences, Batch 2021-2024, School of Engineering & Sciences at the second place and Santosh Kumar Yadav, BA LLB, Batch 2022-2027, School of Law at the third place.
On the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami, the BSA Techno-Cultural, in collaboration with the School of Medical & Allied Sciences orchestrated an engaging and vibrant painting competition for students as also a kite flying fun event for faculties. The event saw enthusiastic participation by students eager to showcase their artistic talents. The event was a hub of creative energy as individuals passionately expressed themselves on canvas and in the sky with colourful kites. Participants poured their hearts into their paintings, capturing the essence of Vasant Panchami, while the skies above were adorned with an array of uniquely designed kites. The poster making competition saw Khushi Pandey and Kriti Singh, BPT, Batch 2023-2027, School of Medical & Allied Sciences emerge winners followed by Harshita Rajoria, BPT, Batch 2021-2025, School of Medical & Allied Sciences as the runner up. The Event Management Club of BSA Techno-Cultural orchestrated an exceptional event, the Management Meltdown, on 03 April 2024. This event provided a captivating platform for enthusiastic participants to showcase their ability to generate innovative ideas for events. The competition consisted of four challenging rounds: Event Brainstorming, Budgeting, Crisis Management, and Marketing. These rounds tested participants' on-the-spot creativity and management skills as they crafted event concepts aligning with the overarching theme, 'cultural.' The diverse array of ideas presented under this theme showcased not only the participants' management skills but also their innovativeness and creativity. The winning team was Ravishu Balyan, B Pharmacy, Batch 2020-2024, School of Medical & Allied Sciences; Sahil Singh, B. Tech. The BSA Techno-Cultural drama club organized an event called “Act It Out!” on April 10, 2024. Participants from various institutions, including Lady Shri Ram College, DU, and the host university, took part. The event featured guest performances showcasing the beauty of the flute with Western classics and other musical items. There was a diverse range of performances, including monologues, heartfelt poetry recitations, and Indian classics depicting Lord Krishna and the Mahabharata. The participants delivered marvelous performances, captivating a large, enthusiastic, and supportive audience. The winners of the event were Gulshan Kumar, B.Com (H) Batch 2023-26, in first place, followed by Pooja, B.Com (H) Batch 2023-27, from the School of Management in second place, and Chanchal, Batch 2022-25, Bachelors of Physiotherapy, from the School of Medical & Allied Sciences in third place.
