Guest Lecture on International Project Management and Mergers and Acquisitions

On the 22nd of March 2017 the Economics Department of SOM GDGU had organised a Guest Lecture Session on International Project Management and Mergers and Acquisitions. The speaker was Mr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Ex-COO of Simon India Ltd. Mr.Chatterjee spoke about the various aspects of Project Management and the main elements of International Project Management. He gave live examples of project planning processes and also pointed out the reasons for project failures. He enlightened the students on the intricacies of Mergers and Acquisitions, based on some of the deals. The session was attended by the students of BBA, BCOM, MBA and BA (Hons.) Economics. It was a good exposure for the students as they could understand that the concepts which are covered in their university’s courses are very relevant for the business world.
