Foundation Day Celebration

01 July 2022 was a day of celebration and pride for the University as all the faculty and staff of GD Goenka University came together for the Foundation Day celebration of the University. It was on this day that under the trail blazing leadership of Hon’ble Chairman, Shri A. K. Goenka, GD Goenka Group forayed into education and launched to the world a university par excellence, imbibing the best teaching practices of the world, creating a new vista of learning that catered not only to India, but to the World. The University established in 2013 has successfully completed nine years of excellence while the GD Goenka Group itself has a legacy of 28 years of excellence in the education sector. Today GD Goenka University stands tall as one of the foremost leaders in the private sector education field in India.

To celebrate the achievements of this young and rapidly rising university, the event was graced by the Hon’ble Chancellor GD Goenka University, Ms. Renu Goenka. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad gave the welcome address pointing out how the university under the able and proactive leadership of the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Nipun Goenka has spread its wings and is soaring high. Prof. Ahmad reiterated that the faculty and students are the soul of the university and congratulated everyone for their valuable contribution. This was followed by a visual journey down the years displaying the inception and growth of the GD Goenka University.

The day was made even more special with the recognition of distinguished faculty and staff members who were awarded the Star Performer of the Year 2022 along with the Seed Grant & Publication Incentives Awards. These awards inculcated a sense of healthy competition and the auditorium rang with applause as colleagues cheered each other on their achievements.

The celebration culminated with cultural performances by our talented faculty and cake cutting ceremony.
