
The world of Fashion, Apparel and branding (Styling) has come a long way, from it being seen only as a vocational/ hobby to professional organized, popular and most importantly one of the largest employing sectors in India. Fashion Design and Styling area imbibes current industry practices into class room as live projects and case studies to learn from.

- Industry experts are invited to not only share their experiences but engage with students as a form of learning. During a students’ tenure multiple International and Domestic study field trips are organized such as participating at International Fashion Weeks around the globe.
- Students get an opportunity to utilize our well-equipped labs/ studio dedicated to machinery for wood work, glass, metal, pottery, photography and leather to name a few.

With a strong track record of alumni excelling at leading brands, design studios, or establishing themselves as independent designers and entrepreneurs, we continue to foster talent that redefines creativity and innovation.


Jaggery Denim Bag- Reimagining Waste
The workshop REIMAGINING WASTE successfully brought together design and animation students to explore sustainability and innovation. Participants worked with materials like Jaggery Bags, used denim, and car seat belts, transforming them into functional and creative designs that showcased the potential of upcycling and responsible material use.
Lakme Fashion Week 2024 Competition : A Group of students from Fashion Design & Styling course teamed up with a retail fashion accessory brand ‘Jaggery’ specializing in sustainable methods of reusing car seat belts and used packaging materials. Fashion students developed and produced a collection of garments that would compliment accessories by Jaggery. Shortlisted as finalists the products were showcased at Lakme
The Bhuj Trip
The Craft Immersion Trip was designed to provide fashion design students with a unique opportunity to explore the rich heritage of Indian traditional crafts. The objective was to immerse them in the techniques, materials, and cultural significance of various crafts, fostering a deeper understanding of their artistry. The journey included hands-on sessions with Shyam Ji Vankar, offering insights into the intricate art of weaving, and a visit to the stunning Salt Desert (Rann of Kutch). Students attended an expert session at the iconic Parag Mahal, led by the Qasab Foundation, where they were introduced to local Banjara women and their curated works. The experience continued with a workshop at Sidr Craft, where students discovered the exquisite techniques of Bandhani dyeing, followed by a visit to local markets and a tour of the iconic Smriti Van Earthquake Museum and Miyawaki Forest. The trip also included an enriching visit to the workplace of Sufiyan Khatri, where students observed the meticulous processes of Ajrakh printing, and concluded with a site visit to the Khamir Craft Resource Centre. This immersive experience offered students unparalleled exposure to India’s traditional crafts, blending creativity, culture, and hands-on learning.
