Our specialised laboratories are designed to provide students with hands-on experience in various aspects of physiotherapy practice. The following labs are integral to our program:
- Electrotherapy Lab: This lab is equipped with advanced electrotherapy modalities, including ultrasound, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), and interferential current units. Students learn to apply these techniques for pain management and rehabilitation.
- Exercise Therapy Lab: Focused on therapeutic exercises, this lab features a variety of equipment and tools that facilitate rehabilitation and conditioning. Students gain practical knowledge in designing and implementing exercise programs for patients with different conditions.
- Biomechanics Lab: This lab provides a platform for studying human movement and mechanics. Equipped with motion analysis systems and force platforms, it allows students to analyse gait, posture, and other biomechanical aspects critical to physiotherapy practice.
- Neurology Lab: Designed to focus on neurological conditions, this lab features equipment and resources to assess and treat patients with neurological impairments. Students learn to apply specific techniques to improve motor function and coordination.
- Orthopaedics Lab: This lab simulates a clinical environment for orthopaedic assessments and treatments. Students practise techniques related to joint mobilisation, manual therapy, and rehabilitation strategies for musculoskeletal injuries.
- Functional Diagnostic Lab: This lab is equipped with tools to evaluate functional capacity and performance. Students learn to conduct assessments that help in developing personalised treatment plans based on patients' functional abilities.
